Club Welfare
At Bedford Judo Club, the safety and wellbeing of all our members is our highest priority.
We follow the British Judo Association’s Safeguarding and Protecting Children Policy,
ensuring that every judoka trains in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment. Our
coaches and volunteers are fully DBS-checked, appropriately trained, and committed to
upholding the BJA’s standards of good practice.
We promote a culture where children, young people and adults feel confident, respected and able to speak up if they have any worries. Clear reporting routes, trained Welfare Officers and a zero-tolerance approach to poor practice help us maintain a positive, welcoming dojo for everyone.
If you ever have a concern about safety, wellbeing or behaviour at the club, please
contact our Club Welfare Officer in confidence.
